Turquoise is an opaque precious gemstone with color that generally ranges from blue to green and often contains white, brown or orange streaks and / or flecks. There is a rare form known as “White Turquiose” that is a very light, almost white shade of blue, green, or bluish green, but all turquoise is some shade of blue and / or green. Among the first minerals to be valued and mined, this precious stone was sought after by royalty in Egypt, Europe, Arabia, and Meso-America dating back more than 3000 years
